St. Augustine Homeschool Field Trip

Homeschool Field Trip to St. Augustine, Florida

Join our Stuart, Florida Classical Conversations community while we explore our nation’s oldest city as a homeschool community January 19-21, 2018!

Itinerary (subject to change slightly)

Friday, January 19- Arrive to Ponce Hotel on your own.

Saturday, January 20- 

7-8:30 AM- Breakfast in Hotel Lobby

9:30 AM- Shuttle Transportation to Old Town Trolley Tour

10:00 AM- Guided Tour of Castillo de San Marcos (The oldest masonry fort in the continental U.S. and a National Monument)

11:00 AM- Picnic Lunch or Walk to St. George Street for lunch on your own (Chick-Fil-A available for $8)

12:45 PM- Walk to Visitor’s Center

1:00- Narrated Trolley Tour of St. Augustine

2:00- Guided tour of Oldest Store

2:45- Guided tour of Florida Heritage Museum

3:45- Trolley to St. George Street for Free Time

4:00-6:00 PM- Free Time/ Dinner on your own

6:30- Depart Visitor Center for Night of Lights Tour

7:30- Return to Hotel

TICKETS for Trolly Tour MUST be paid for in advance by NO LATER THAN 1-8-18 and include:

  • Admission to all the above listed activities
  • Shuttle Transportation to the Trolley departure from the Ponce Hotel
  • Chick-Fil-A boxed Lunch is Available for an additional $8.99 per person, and must be pre-ordered with tickets in the SHOP.
  • Payment Processing Fees
  • $59.99 per adult
  • $39.99 per child

LODGING for St. Augustine Homeschool Field Trip

Please call the Ponce Hotel directly at (904) 824-5554 to reserve your room.  Mention the Word Traveling homeschool field trip for your rate.

All rooms include:

  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Hot Breakfast Buffet
  • Refrigerator and Coffee Maker in the Room
  • Free Parking

Special group hotel rates, not including taxes, are:

Two Queen Beds: $99 per night on Friday and Saturday, $79 per night on Thursday and Sunday

Family Suites: (2 queens and a sofa sleeper, sleeps 6) $129 per night on Friday and Saturday,  $109 Thursday and Sunday.  There are only 6 available, so RSVP soon if you need a family suite.
